I have this thing about fixing things. We have a wooden storage container has been really handy in the past, but we just don't use it anymore. Somewhere along the line a section of the top was broken and it's been sitting in the garage. I hate to just throw it. I want to fix it.
As a person living with active lupus, my constant battle is energy. Where am I putting my energy? Is it a valuable use of that energy? If I am expending physical energy, what emotional energy am I getting back?
And yet the pull to fix that container is pulling at me. Almost begging me to please fix it.
Now I have to go through the decision making process. If I just get rid of it, will I feel bad about it? (Remember last weeks post?) Why do I feel bad about it? If I am going to fix it, when will I do it? By what date? Where on the important use of energy does this fit?
We all are limited by time and energy. Your Top Tip Tuesday is this; really examine here you are spending your energy budget.
To your most peaceful self.
