"I got no deeds to do
No promises to keep
I’m dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me
Life, I love you
All is groovy" - Simon and Garfunkel
Wouldn't it be awesome to feel like THAT this time of year?
With Black Friday just around the corner, are you feeling stressed out already? Are your mental lists piling up? Are you over anticipating expectations? Do you already have anxiety about finances? Do you worry about people coming to your home?
Unfocused energy is like a hamster on an exercise wheel. Focused energy creates movement - towards a goal, an organized space or better feeling of well being.
If you're feeling like that hamster or just feeling overwhelmed or stuck, maybe it's time to create a new plan. A plan that optimizes your personal time and energy groove. Or if you just need a hand getting it all done, I can help with that too!
To your most Groovy Self
Sometimes it just takes time to do things. And usually it's more time than we plan for. So when things don't happen as we anticipated we have to adapt and make changes.
Now if you know me, you know that for the last several years I've been through a lot of changes in my life.. And that's resulted in a LOT of changes in lifestyle, energy and time. So when I heard about this webinar with Professional Organizer Linda Samuels I was especially curious to hear what she had to say. She was amazing!
What I was reminded was that it's not about whatever change is going on. It's not about the substantial amount of emotions change brings. It's about managing the process. That's it.
We are in a constant state of change. And it's ok.
To your best ever changing self.
It's the day after daylight savings and I bet some of you feel like your internal clock is like this. I bet it didn't really feel like you got an extra hour. Why? We gave it away to something that was important to us. (Sleep anyone?)
I heard once that everything in our house is there because we allow it in. The same could be said for our time. We allow our calendars to be just as full as our homes.
Move beyond intention to do more with the time you have. Write your goals on a sheet and move those items INTO your calendar. If you are finding you need more time (or energy) to accomplish them, keep allowing time (and energy) to do so.
Now about resetting the clock on the stove....
Welcome to my blog. I am glad you are here to read the musings on organizing and finding balance in your life. I hope you find them inspiring and motivating.
