![]() Is this your typical incoming holiday card pile? Is there no rhyme or reason to your process of handling those cards and letters? This year you can prepare yourself so that those cards (and other mail) get dealt with by creating a process and place for everything. First things first. Where to you display or put your holiday cards? Do you have a place for them? The back of your front door? A basket on the dining room table? A holiday card holder? Your windows? Where ever you decide, make sure everyone knows where the landing spot is. That way they won't end up in several areas. Second, if you tape your cards to a wall or door, make sure you have the correct tape or adhesive on hand near where you will display them. If there is not a location for the adhesive near your location, place it where you will be able to find it when you open your mail. Do you hang onto the envelopes for addresses? Where is your landing or holding spot for those? Do you have an address book? Is it handy with a pen at the ready? Perhaps find a basket or bin for those envelopes to hold until you are ready to update or check addresses. Then, most importantly, schedule time before New Year's to update your files and recycle those envelopes! To your organizing success, Kimberly
