IT's the little things that matter

Recently I've been on this kick about clearing out drawers and all those little hiding places that stuff gets sucked into.  You know, like when someone stops in and you are frantically trying to clear?  There have been a few places that, well, it was finally their time to have a good clearing,

It sounds silly but there actually is a good way to make the process easy.  It's piece by piece.

Start by getting an empty garbage can.
The first step is to take everything out and beginning with a clean surface.  Because I had everything emptied, I decided to put new liner in for an even fresher look.

Now you can begin the editing process but taking out all of one thing or one kind of thing at a time.  For example:cutting tools, screwdrivers or pliers.

For safety, I put any cutting instrument with a sharp blade inside a knife holder.

Tip:  Byerly's will sharpen knives for free, but you have to drop them off and wait a few days to get them back.

And these got thrown away!  What was I thinking?

And as I always say; contain, contain, contain!  These items will no longer live in this drawer so they are bundled together and put with the tools in the garage.  Notice the clear containers.  If you can't see what's inside, make sure you label!
This is other miscellaneous stuff that also got put away to their rightful homes.

And now to put all the pieces back together again!
By breaking it down into little pieces this project took less than half an hour and I don't have to go digging through to find what I need.

See what I keep telling you?  It's Peace by Piece.

To Your Most Peaceful Self!
