![]() Don't you love it when you get something new? It's exciting. It seems to just sparkle and is the perfect decoration, piece of clothes, serving dish or organizer that will make your life somehow better. Jump ahead one month, six months or a year. Do you still see it in the same light? Do you see it at all? Take a quick glance at one small area of your house that you haven't really looked at before. Try a drawer in your kitchen, the bathroom pantry or a shelf in your kitchen. Look at it for one minute. Now sit down and write what you saw. No counting what you know is already in there. What did you actually see? If there are things that you didn't remember seeing, are those items that can be edited out? Honestly ask yourself why not. If you didn't even remember that it was there after just looking at it, do you honestly need it? We see both what we expect and want to see. Our minds focus on what is important. Need proof?
