One for Today

Look around you.  What do you see?  Lots of "stuff"?  Does it overwhelm you?  Does it make you happy?  Or is it a burden to you?  Do you feel refreshed and smile when you see it?  Or does it remind you that you have to deal with it someday?

We all have things.  In fact we all have a lot of things.  Most days we don't even realize how many things we have because we have grown accustomed to it.  It blends into our homes and we have a blind eye to it.

But then there are those days when we really look around and feel like we can't stand it anymore. We want to just get a big garbage can and throw it all away in one fell swoop.  But we know that we can't really do that because we need to look at and evaluate each piece.  Ugh!  Not enough hours in the day today to tackle it.  Another day perhaps.

But wait!  You can tackle it today.  Instead of looking at your piles of stuff as one big all day project, break it down into smaller pieces.

Just for today, take one thing and deal with it.  You have permission to do whatever you think is best for it.  Nor guilt.  No regrets.  No burdens.  No "what if I need that later".  Toss it.  File it.  Donate it.  Gift it with a note on why it is so special to you and why you are gifting it.

It's one thing.  You can do it!

To your organizational success,

Kimberly
