Pa$$word?

Passwords can be difficult to remember when you have to keep track of so many.  But keeping them fresh and updated is a necessity in today's world.  Here's some tips on how to keep your information safe and accessible
  • Choose something familiar, but not so easy that someone could guess.
  • Swap out characters for letters.
  • When you change your password make it completely fresh.  Don't just change one thing.
  • Caps count.  Instead of using them only in the beginning, try using them within your password.
  • Use a foreign language!

Fake ID - Use caution when setting up a new account.  Often the site will ask you for personal information in order to verify your identity.  Consider using a "fake id" to protect your information.

DO NOT write this down on a piece of paper!  Instead, keep your information safe by keeping your passwords electronically.

  • Evernote.com -allows you to make notes and a whole lot more.  Track recipes, create reminders and of course store your passwords.
  • Delicious.com - Easy to set up and create subfiles.  Prompts to add tags and notes and is great for keeping track of useful websites.
  • Email address book - Create entries that are actually your passwords.  Easy to access any time
  • Lifehacker.com - lets you track almost anything.  Also a great resource for a free download to begin your estate planning!
  • Online document - create an online document that is password protected. Access your document via a link that you create!

To your identity health!
