![]() Keeping track of tax deductible items and receipts is as easy as taking a picture. And since a picture is worth a thousand words it’s the perfect way to capture those tax items. Create an album on your cell phone – name it “2014 Tax Info”. Place the following “photo docs” into this album. Take a photo of your Salvation Army and Goodwill receipts. Be sure to snap a photo of the clothing and/or household items donated as well! Take a photo of tax documents and unreimbursed work expenses occurring mid-year, like stock sales, work tools, or K-12 school expenses. Take a photo of your business receipts. Name it “Meals 012214” (expense category and date in 6 digit format). Depending on volume of tax documents, it may be a good idea to create a new album called “2014 Biz Receipts”. Be consistent with your photo names, it will make sorting and finding a specific receipt easier down the road. Back up your photos on a regular basis. Create a download file on your computer or tablet or utilize an online/cloud based storage system to keep your portfolio safe. To your most organized self - Peace by Piece. Cutesy Erich John Ltd
