Where would your rubber duckie go if it could float outside of the bathtub? Would it circle the globe? Would it travel the ancient tides of the ocean?
While only your duckie knows where it will go, there is a way to see where other plastics end up. Very interesting to see how important it is to make even small greening and organizing changes in your home. Reduce, reuse, recycle - and compost when you can!

Nothing beats a dresser for storage. I use them for all kinds of storage besides just clothing. I have two kids dressers that I have filled with my stamps and another one just for stamping supplies. It's easy to pop open the drawer and flip through the stamps like records (or CD's).
Another favorite of mine? Paint! Paint is fabulous. It's relatively inexpensive and if you don't like it, just repaint. An dresser that your kids have outgrown can be transformed into a beautiful linen storage space. Just a little prep work and paint and you have something amazing.
Of course you are going to edit out items before you fill your new storage, right? You want to leave space so you can easily access your items.
Repeat buying of the same items in bulk can be a snap when you have your containers pre-labeled! No more fumbling with getting the plastic bag open, searching for that golf pencil and writing don the bulk number on that oh so (not) handy piece of paper with the wire inside. You know the ones.
A little prep work with labels or a Sharpie marker also helps you:
The next time you buy in bulk, write down both the item code and product name. When you get home you can transfer this information to the container of your choice. You don't need expensive storage containers to get organized. As long as the containers are about the same size, shape and stackable, it will create an even look and feel.
Get Creative - Don't have containers and don't want to purchase any? Use what you have. A compostable baggie, a label and a sharpie marker work great. Saves on space and easy to carry.
