Accidents happen. Every once in awhile there are mistakes (or rather mis-takes) in entering your medical records. And when it happens, it can be frustrating to correct it because it can take a lot of time to research what happened in the first place.
Consider the frustration you would feel if you were waiting for approval for a medical device for tendonitis, but your records said tinnitus? Definitely not the same.
If for no other reason than not having to talk with your insurance company, it's a good idea to just take a peek at what's in those records.
