Ever notice how we aspire to use up "dead" space? Not only our physical space, but our time, commitment and energy resources. It's hard to even leave a moment of silence during a conversation. It can be unsettling. We want to fill that gap with something.
Unfortunately, when that happens, it's filled with superfluous things. But gaps in time, energy and your physical space are good! Whatifhterewasn'taspaceinbetweeenthesewordsandandyouhadtoreadeverythinglikethis? Was that easy to process? Probably not.
Gaps create a space that wasn't allow us to take a mental break and decipher what is before us. They are not created overnight, but through constant intentional attention.towards an objective. In the same way, by consistent intentional intention towards creating and preserving gaps in our lives, we allow new energy to enter in and the old energy to filter out. The gaps are the sacred spaces, the circles of power or the holy hula hoops that hold our precious energy.
